Andrew Hutchison – Managing Director
Andrew launched Hutchison Builders in 2006 after eight years as a self-employed builder. His experience in the New Zealand building industry has focused on residential renovations. Andrew’s enthusiasm for building has fueled his search for more innovative, efficient and sustainable long-term building practices for New Zealand. He knows the value of people and has worked hard to build a team of professionals who can offer the best quality, skill and excellence that has been in short supply in New Zealand. His vast knowledge of building practice is on offer when you use Hutchison Builders.

Jon Hutchison – General Manager
Jon has worked full-time in the residential building industry since 1998, while also completing an Arts Degree in Politics and Business Management. A combination of practical building experience and business knowledge has allowed Jon to provide professional business services, while utilising his understanding of the building industry. He particularly enjoys working with you, the client, and contractors to ensure the right people are in the right place, in order to provide you with the best results.

Stephen Crook –Architectural Designer/ Draughtsman
Stephen has worked in the architectural field since 1999 for firms Jasmax Architects and BSW Architects. During this time, he undertook work on multiple projects, ranging from larger commercial jobs to all aspects of the residential sector. He was then self-employed for two and a half years before joining Hutchison Builders in 2008. He brings his knowledge in both building and design, as well as his experience dealing with councils to obtain Building and Resource Consents. 

Tony Auld – Medium Building works including small Jobs Specialist  
Tony is a Trade Qualified builder with over 15 years experience. He has been involved in many areas of the New Zealand Building Industry, including residential building and maintenance, residential subdivision management, project management and rural farming work.  Tony is great with people, is a great communicator and works hard to ensure everyone involved is on the same track to successfully complete projects big and small to exceed our clients expectations.   

Johnny Soper – Project Manager of Major Contracts

Johnny has a passion for creating homes that people will enjoy, and derives a great deal of pride from being able to say he has done a renovation or new home with excellence. During his 15 years building, he has aimed for perfection in all areas, from the physical building to the relationship with clients. Johnny is a Project Manager for Hutchison Builders and oversees teams, quality of work, and efficiency. He also ensures you receive the communication and results you deserve when you employ Hutchison Builders.

Euan Evers – Quantity Surveyor

Euan is a qualified builders and quantity surveyor, has had many years of experience both in residential and commercial aspects of the building trade.  His knowledge of building products and his accuracy with figures makes him an expert in the field of estimating.  Euan is well versed in the local body requirements and keeps abreast with the changes in the Building Code as they come about.  Euan's accurate estimating ability and tracking throughout the course of construction ensures that projects keep within their budget.
